Spirit of 1976: a celebration of the Hapeville Depot Restoration Project

Join us for a history presentation and art workshop where we will learn about the residents of Hapeville and their mission to restore the historic depot and design a local history museum. During this workshop you will craft your very own depot structure while Historian, Kerum Kendall, dives into the fascinating history of America’s 200th birthday celebration in 1976. Participants will learn about how to use found objects to create their own assemblages inspired by artists like Beverly Buchanan. This workshop is free to the public. Seating is limited. The museum will have supplies on hand but we encourage you to bring your own found objects.
